Hello I’m Angelique but everyone calls me Angie, a nickname that my mother gave me when I was a child but followed me all the way through adulthood. I’m the person behind Pause & Pose Photography and that’s my face in the photo below, yes that’s the face that will greet you when you book a session. I’m a one woman team but when I need some extra hands during a session, I get the help of my lovely little sister, don’t worry she does get paid for her time.

I don’t have any children but I do have two fur babies, a 3 year old Siberian Husky called Echo and a 4 year old Podenco called Lilly. Just like photographers use children as models, I use my fur babies. Lilly in particular just loves being in front of the camera, she’s a little diva. I used to have a home studio and the moment she saw me setting up she would just sit in the middle of the setup and wait for me to take her photos. She even poses between shots. Yes I sound crazy I’m the woman who treats her dogs like humans but I just can’t help it.
I’m an animal lover in general, there isn’t a pet you can name that I haven’t had. Let’s just say my mum would always find surprise guests in the house and she would freak, but she always gave in and let me keep whatever it was I brought home. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been rescuing injured and abandoned animals and I still do so today.

My life is pretty simple, I have a full time job as an assistant accounts manager which I’ve been doing for the last 6 and a half years and other than that I spend my spare time either working as a photographer, with my family and friends or doing anything crafty that I can get my hands on. Since we couldnt leave the house during lockdown I made the most of it and spent a lot of my time creating beautiful props and outfits for my sessions. I made loads of cute newborn outfits, hats and bonnets out of crochet, I took out my sewing machine to make more outfits for my newborns, I made floral headbands for babies and adults and I felted beautiful little stuffies.Let’s just say I kept myself busy making new things for the new studio.
2020 was difficult for so many of us, and even though 2021 has been very sad for many people in Gibraltar who lost loved ones including myself, it is slowly beginning to be great, not just for Pause & Pose Photography with the opening of the new studio but also for everyone else as vaccinations are being administered and COVID restrictions slowly easing. Let’s just hope we can return to normality soon.

We had an amazing newborn session. You are definitely the baby whisperer! Thanks
